Company History

Liberty Bank, N.A. was founded in 1990 by a group of local business owners to more effectively serve the needs of business and personal clients. A void in the community banking arena occurred when the well-respected Twinsburg Banking Company became a victim of bank consolidation in the mid 1980s.

The core group of leaders who established Liberty Bank consisted of former customers, shareholders and officers of the Twinsburg Banking Company who wanted to continue the idea of a local friendly community bank.

Liberty Bank, N.A. is a full-service community (financial institution) national bank with assets of $180.3 million as of December 31, 2006. With offices in Beachwood, Solon and Twinsburg, Ohio, the independently owned bank serves local consumers and privately held businesses with sales of up to $25 million.

Liberty Bank specializes in providing innovative financing and cash management services for commercial customers together with competitive rates and a high level of personalized customer service. On the lending side, the bank offers commercial loans including lines of credit, equipment loans, commercial real estate and construction loans. Retail lending features real estate mortgage loans, second mortgage lines of credit, credit card loans and installment loans.

Liberty Bank has enjoyed steady growth under the direction of a new management team -- William A. Valerian, Chairman, President and CEO; Richard C. Ebner, CPA, COO & CFO; and James M. Hojnacki, CPA, Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer.

The 2005 opening of Liberty Bank's administrative office in Beachwood is consistent with its pattern of growth and allows further expansion of the bank and added convenience for our customers.
