Ron Majka joins Liberty Bank as SVP and Commercial Banking Team Leader

Majka has a diverse background in high growth, entrepreneurial activities, including leveraged corporate finance, small business sales and operational management. Prior to joining Liberty Bank, Majka spent 12 years with National City Bank, most recently as a Senior Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager in the Upper Middle Market lending group, managing a $500 million loan portfolio. Prior to this role, he served as a Director in the Loan Syndications Group, a successful start-up effort within the bank. During his tenure at National City Bank, Majka's experience included raising over $3.0 billion in debt capital for his clients, serving as banking relationship manager for some of Northeast Ohio's most prominent public and private companies, and helping to build productive, winning teams.

Prior to his career in banking, Majka held sales and operational positions for small, local area companies. He was Director of Sales for Akron-based Picture Me Books, an innovative publisher of children's books licensed by the NFL, NBA and Major League Baseball. He was also an operations consultant at Cardinal Fastener & Specialty Company, an industry-leading producer of large forged bolts, located in Bedford Heights.

A resident of Strongsville, Majka earned an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management and holds a BS in Business Administration from Ohio State University.

Majka's community activities include acting as advisory board president of the Shaker Youth Center, an agency that counsels at risk school-aged children, as managing director for Promise Partners, an organization that fosters small business ownership among Weatherhead alumni, and as a volunteer for Junior Achievement. Majka is currently active in the Strongsville Youth Soccer Organization.
