Liberty Bank creates unique education lending opportunity for Northeast Ohio higher education institutions and students

Beachwood-based Liberty Bank, N.A. is now offering a private student loan called the Liberty Elite Loan. This loan is available exclusively to students attending a select group of established colleges and universities based in Northeast Ohio.

The Liberty Elite Loan offers a relaxed credit criteria as well as lower fees and rates compared to national programs. Available for undergraduate, graduate, medical residency and bar examination, the product has tiered pricing, rates and fees, based upon the credit worthiness of the borrower and cosigner. The rate is variable, tied to the 3-month LIBOR rate.

Originating private student loans since 2005, Liberty Bank has an experienced Education Lending Department. The loans are originated and serviced through Campus Partners. The school will certify the attendance of each student, and funds will only be disbursed directly to the school.

Valerian added, “This student loan will cover the costs of education that exceed the available aid to the student, including federal education loans. Graduate students will be able to qualify for a loan on their own credit provided they meet the Bank’s credit underwriting guidelines.”
